We are convenient for the famous Somerset Carnivals held each autumn in Wells, Glastonbury & Bridgwater. And Wedmore has it’s own Street Fair and Harvest Home celebrations in the summer.

If you wish to travel further a field into parts of Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire they are so easy and quick to reach with the Motorway access being conveniently placed; only eight miles away, yet not of any hindrance to us. So we are also an ideal stopover for folk staying with us for a night or two en route to Devon and Cornwall, making their journey a much more relaxed affair.

Now you have looked through 'Places of interest' you can see that we are well placed for a number of days spent in Somerset, and we have only scratched the surface. Indeed, you could easily spend a week or two… As there is a fair chance you may be wanting to visit Devon and Cornwall as well, we are developing:

As we know the West Country quite well, we are happy to advise you. This will save you a lot of time, otherwise wasted, in hunting out those special places, those quaint fishing villages the west country is famous for, where to go on the moors for walks and views, and the many famous gardens. We have a list of places to give you and if time allows Melvyn will pour over your map with you, giving you advice as to what you can cover in your allotted time.
