worth taking.

Great Britain, Clifton Suspension Bridge. Plenty
of entertainment - Colston
Hall, St. George's Bristol -
The Best Chamber Acoustics in Britain, the Hippodrome Theatre and Bristol

Footpaths and droves are all around us as well as an extensive network of footpaths
throughout the Mendip Hills, just four miles away. Good walking country.
You
are welcome to borrow the beautiful little booklet ‘Walks
Around Wedmore’ showing six walks, with maps, varying from 1.5 to 2.5
hours. They link up nicely with pubs & restaurants in Wedmore and Blackford
and from one to another if you wish to make a day of it. Two of the walks
are easily reached with just a few minutes walking on our country lanes.
Just
0.75 miles away is Ashton Windmill, Somerset’s
only remaining windmill that is equipped with all it’s working
machinery. |
It
is open from Easter Sunday until the end of September every Sunday,
Wednesday and bank holiday Mondays
from
2.30pm until 4.30pm. Admission is free.
The whole area is steeped in history and beauty, which would take up too
much space to talk about it all.
The
Isle of Wedmore Golf Course and Club House is within easy walking distance,
being only half a mile away. This course has built up an excellent reputation
over the last few years and non members are very welcome. Tel: 01934 713649 |
